Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of this website and the Reonlingo mobile app. By creating an account or using either, you agree to them.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create a Reonlingo account. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Your account

You’re responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials confidential. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

3. License to use the app

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Reonlingo app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial language learning. This license terminates automatically if you violate these Terms.

4. Subscriptions and billing

  • Paid plans, where offered, are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and governed by their respective payment terms in addition to these Terms.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless canceled at least 24 hours before renewal, through your App Store or Google Play account settings.
  • All purchases are final and non-refundable, except where required by law or where Apple or Google grant a refund under their own store policies. If you believe your situation is a genuine exception — a duplicate charge, a technical failure that blocked your access, or similar — email [email protected] with your account details and we’ll review it individually.   • We may offer free trials or introductory pricing; unless stated otherwise, the paid subscription begins automatically when the trial ends.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except as permitted by law.
  • Scrape, copy, or redistribute course content, audio, or other materials outside the app.
  • Use the Services to harass others, upload unlawful content, or interfere with the security or performance of the Services.
  • Circumvent usage limits, share a paid account beyond what your plan permits, or misrepresent your identity.

6. User-submitted content

Some features may let you submit audio (for example, pronunciation practice) or written responses. You retain ownership of what you submit, and you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use it solely to operate and improve the Services, such as generating feedback on your pronunciation. You confirm you have the right to submit that content.

7. Intellectual property

The Reonlingo app, this website, and all course content, audio, illustrations, and software are owned by Reonlingo, Inc. or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of that material to you.

8. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee specific learning outcomes or fluency timelines.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Reonlingo, Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill arising from your use of the Services.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Services, with notice where reasonably practicable.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction to be confirmed by counsel], without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless a mandatory local consumer-protection law provides otherwise.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we’ll notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Services after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
